For my science fair project I am going to test which basketball shot is most accurate, the chest shot, the chin shot, or the above the head shot. I am going to conduct my experiment at the Conway Rec.Center. There will be about three people in my experiment, there roles are to be the shooters and shoot with different form. There will be two sets of ten shots from the free throw line. As is record my data I will be writing it down in a data table/spreadsheet. When I conduct the experiment I will use a notebook to record all of my data, then I will make it into a chart on a computer.
Background Research
i have researched that giving the basketball backspin gives it an uplift on the ball, so you can shoot longer shots with ease. The average NBA free throw percentage is between 70-80%. It is harder for people with giving height to shoot free throws.

Detailed Procedure
Make data table
Have person 1 take ten shots from the foul line in the chest style, while person 2 writes down the results on the data table.
Have person 2 take ten shots from the foul line in the chest style and have person 1 record their data.
Have person 1 take ten shots from the free throw line in the chin style shot and have person 2 record their data.
Have person 2 take ten shots from the free throw line in the chin style and have person 1 record the data
Have person 1 take ten shots from the free throw line in the above the head style and have person 2 record their data.
Have person 2 take ten shots from the free throw line in the above the head style and have person 1 record their data.
Get the average shots made for each style and see which one is the most accurate.
